At Cedar Witch Goods, we often receive requests for product or monetary donations.

Prior to 2020, a portion of all our sales were donated to animal rescues. After awhile, we began to make fundraiser soaps to raise money for Planned Parenthood and the Iowa Environmental Council. 

As a small business, we believe in using our platform to support meaningful causes. After thoughtful reflection, we’ve chosen to focus our charitable efforts on disaster relief from this point forward.

This decision was shaped by personal experience. In 2020, our community faced the devastating impacts of a derecho storm, all while navigating a global pandemic. What stood out during that difficult time was the incredible way people came together—neighbors helping neighbors, strangers stepping up, and volunteers working tirelessly to provide support.

This spirit of resilience and generosity is something we see again and again in disaster situations. There are always people who jump in to help however they can, often in the face of their own challenges. Their dedication inspires us.

Because of this, we prioritize donations to organizations that provide direct disaster relief and emergency aid. Since making this decision, we’ve supported efforts like wildfire relief through the California Community Foundation, flood relief through Texas Search & Rescue, and contributed to World Central Kitchen, which provides meals in response to crises.

We also believe it’s important to fund this kind of work proactively - not just during major news cycles, but consistently; especially as federal support for disaster relief continues to face cuts.

Individuals and organizations are more than welcome to purchase our products for the purpose of donating them. Please contact us if you need a lot of items, and we may be able to discuss a price reduction.
